June 16th, 2012 in Chelan, Washington

Echo Valley has long been a mecca for hiking, running, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking, and our inaugural 2011 trail run was a success, so we are excited to be back in 2012. The course will take you through some of the most spectacular trails and scenery in Chelan so get those running shoes and cameras ready! Distances offered are 10K, Half Marathon, 50K and 50 Mile. If you haven't been to Chelan, check out pictures from the trails here and here.
Distance wise, you'll have a choice of 10K, Half-Marathon and for those of you that love ultras, 50K and 50M. The courses will be well marked with streamers and arrows at intersections. Maps and elevation gains are posted in the course map tabs. We'll have raffle prizes from sponsors, fully stocked aid stations along the way and a wide selection of post race grub at the finish to fuel you up!
We hope to see you there!

General
Read about how we keep the races green here.
We are dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors, and we encourage you to "leave no trace behind" by taking all trash with you. The park rangers always appreciate it when racers follow the marked course and keep the trails clean, and they are much more likely to grant permission for us to put on races at the same location if the trails are kept in good condition.
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including a few equestrians, pedestrians and cyclists. Signs will be posted weeks prior to the event so we don’t anticipate much equestrian use during the races, and equestrians are only allowed on the wider trails, where passing should be easy. However, horses do have the right of way, and if you encounter a horse in your path, stop running, step off the path, and let the horse past, unless the rider will tell you that it is okay to walk past. Please be courteous. Where the trails are narrow, please let other participants pass you if they want to get by. It is a passing runner's job to tell the person in front that they wish to pass.
The course also features rough, rocky sections, and a couple of slippery bridges. Please be careful when you proceed. Participants are responsible for their own safety.
For refunds/cancellations please see our poliicy.
