June 23rd Taylor Mountain Trail Run
Our next summer run is at Taylor Mountain Park at Issaquah on June 23rd. This event is full. If you're interested in getting on the waiting list, please contact us.
Taylor Mountain shares the same forest mountain range as Tiger Mountain and Squak Mountain. Taylor is a true runner's paradise with an extensive trail system, and unlike many ranges in the NW where trails are enclosed by woods on all sides, the trails here go into the open and afford visitors great views of the surrounding Issaquah Alps and Mt. We'll be raffling a pair of Vasque trail running shoes, a pair of Hoka One One running shoes, a pair of Vibram Five Fingers, $25 gift certificate from Fleet Feet Seattle, one year subscriptions to trail runner magazine, and a gift certificate for Rudy Project. On top of that, first place female and male finishers in each category will also win a certificate for a beautifully made custom dress shirt from Tailorwork.
June 16th Echo Valley Trail Run
Looking forward to escaping the colder temps and grey weather? Our next event, the Echo Valley 10k, Half-Marathon, 50k and 50 Mile on June 16th, will be in Chelan. Chelan is where the sun's always shining and views are always gorgeous. No wonder it's the top vacation spot for Washingtonians! We're currently in Chelan and you can see our course checking picture from June 11th here. The trails here are very smooth with no roots or rocks, and the hills are gradual and very runnable, so if you're thinking about doing your first longer distance run, this is the perfect choice!
For accommodations, there's onsite camping at Start/Finish for $10 per tent and you can find new lodging options here. If you plan to spend a weekend, definitely check out the list of things to do on the Chelan Chamber of Commerce site here (click "101 Things to Do" tab). The race's title sponsor, Vin du Lac Winery of Chelan, is offering a number of specials for our racers only and you can find details of the offers on the events page's directions tab.
Company Creek Pizza on 502 Manson way in Chelan, known by locals as the best pizza place in town, will be sponsoring this race with their traditional brick oven baked pizza. So race hard and come to the finish line hungry!
