2012 Season Closes on a High Note!

Grand Ridge Trail Run in Issaquah Washington

Thank you everyone that came to the November 17 Grand Ridge Run, what an awesome day! The weather stayed dry and warm for a long time, which was totally unexpected at this time of the year. It did get cold towards the end and very rainy too, so kudos to all long distance racers for toughing it through. A special thank you goes to all the volunteers for braving the weather to ensure everyone had a safe and fun time.

We also want to say a huge THANK YOU to all runners/walkers that participated in 2012 events. Putting on events is a lot of work but it is also very rewarding. We love seeing your happy faces, knowing that our events made a positive impact in your lives. Thank you for all the feedback and encouragements you've given us through the years. Together you have a created a very warm and supportive community for all trail enthusiast and a welcoming home for newbies to the sport. Your generous volunteering spirit and willingness to lend a fellow runner a helping hand is what makes these events possible. And last but not least, thank you for being such great stewards of this beautiful place we run in. Even in the heat of a competition you always take care to carefully sort trash into recycle and compost, and because of your diligence we are able to reach zero waste at all events. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Happy holidays everyone and we look forward to seeing you all in 2013!

11/17 Grand Ridge Trail Run

Grand Ridge Trail Run in Issaquah Washington

We had a great time today at the Evergreen Trail Runs' Ft. Steilacoom run/walk, thank you all for coming. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! The preliminary results are posted here. If you have any questions or comments, please contact us.

The next event is the Nov 17th Grand Ridge Trail Run/Walk. You can review the start list with bib assignments here. The event is sold out and there's no day of registration. On day of event, please let registration volunteers know your number so they can get you set up quickly.

 

Though we were able to let quite a few people on the waitlist in, we are sorry that we cannot accommodate everyone. For those of you racing this weekend, plan on arriving at least 30 min before race start to leave plenty of time for parking and getting ready. And please consider carpooling. It's a great way to save gas, reduce carbon footprint, and connect with friends!

 

On this note, the long awaited Lake Sammamish Half registration is now open. Sign up before Nov 30th 11:59PM and you'll get the best rate of $55 a person.

 

An exciting news is that Flying Pie Pizzeria on 30 Front St. S in Issaquah is sponsoring this event with gourmet fresh-from-the-over pizzas. Flying Pie Pizzeria sponsored the Taylor Mountain Run and the Squak Mountain Run last year and got rave reviews from our runners and for good reason. Owner Kathryn is super passionate about her pizzas, and travels around the world to seek ideas for new and innovative taste and her effort shows in every bite.
