Welcome to the Lord Hill Trail RunTrail Runners Racing at Lord Hill Park

The course starts and finishes at the north parking lot. Each loop is a figure eight with a lollipop loop. The course will be well marked with streamers and arrows at intersections. About 35 percent is fire road and 65 percent is single track. We offer 10 Mile, 20 Mile and 50km distances.

It hosts probably the steepest section in any trail run the northwest has to offer, one section of 450 feet length and 200 foot climb (about 30degree incline), a chin-scraper in true nature!

There will be fully stocked aid station at the start/finish and another at the 6-mile mark, giving runners plenty of fuel for the course. We will have water, nuun, PBJ sandwiches, organic fruit, cookies, prezles and more. In 4th Dimension Style there will also be pizza, chocolate and organic vegetable soup, plus other goodies after the race.

Looking forward to seeing you out there!

Directions

The race will be held at Lord Hill Regional Park, Snohomish, WA. The address for the main entrance of the park is 12921 150th Street SE, Snohomish, WA 98290. Parking attendants will direct you from there.

Directions:

Take I-5 north or south into Everett. Drive east on US Hwy 2 and take the WA Hwy 9 exit. Turn right (heading south) onto Hwy 9 and proceed 2.3 miles to the second Snohomish exit. You will have gone under an overpass and passed a large electrical power grid on your left. If you go across a big bridge, you have gone just past the exit.
Take a left at the bottom of the off-ramp and this will place you on Second Street. Follow this through Snohomish for 1.2 miles to Lincoln Avenue South. You'll see a First Heritage Bank and a Cenex Co-op on the right. Turn right here and follow 2.7 miles to 127th Avenue SE.

Alternatively for Eastsiders: take I-405 to SR 522 and proceed 12.4 miles to the first Monroe exit for 164th St SE/W Main St. Loop counterclockwise around the rotary to head west on the Old Snohomish-Monroe highway. Follow for 3.8 miles to 127th Avenue SE.
You should see a sign indicating Lord Hill Regional Park. Turn right and stay on this road for about 1.6 miles and up a long, steep hill.

Course Map and Info

Each 10 Mile loop is a figure eight with three lollipop loops. The first two are done clockwise, the third counter-clockwise. The course will be well marked with streamers and arrows at intersections. About 35 percent is fire road and 65 percent is single track. It hosts probably the steepest section in any trail run the northwest has to offer, one section of 450 feet length and 200 foot climb (about 30degree incline), a chin-scraper in true nature! The trails are in great shape and well maintained, and the park is beautiful in spring. The 20 Mile course covers the 10 Mile loop twice, the 50 km course covers the 10 Mile loop three times and does the devils butte loop (organge arrows) twice on the last loop giving the course the exact 50 km distance. General Considerations

We are dedicated to the responsible enjoyment and active stewardship of the outdoors, and we encourage you to "leave no trace behind" by taking all trash with you. The park rangers always appreciates it when racers follow the marked course and keep the trails clean, and they are much more likely to grant permission for us to put on races at the same location if the trails are kept in good condition.

The trails will be open to other users during the event, including a few equestrians, pedestrians and cyclists. Signs will be posted weeks prior to the event so we don’t anticipate much equestrian use during the races, and equestrians are only allowed on the wider trails, where passing should be easy. However, horses do have the right of way, and if you encounter a horse in your path, stop running, step off the path, and let the horse past, unless the rider will tell you that it is okay to walk past. Please be courteous. Where the trails are narrow, please let other participants pass you if they want to get by. It is a passing runner's job to tell the person in front that they wish to pass.

The course also features rough, rocky sections, and a couple of slippery bridges. Please be careful when you proceed. Participants are responsible for their own safety. In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1, should you decide to bring a cell phone, most areas of Lord Hill Park have reception. We will also have volunteers at mile 6 and we will sweep the course towards cutoff time. You must notify event organizer or volunteers if you decide to quit since we need to ensure all participants have safely returned after the event.
