July 19th Soaring Eagle Solstice Trail Run

The next run up is the July 19th Soaring Eagle Trail Run brought to you by Plateau Runner of Sammamish. Online registration has closed by day of registration is available. Soaring Eagle Park is the most popular running destination for people living around the plateau and for good reasons; there's not a lot of elevation, and the hills are rolling, short and very runnable. At this time of the year the trails are dry and smooth, and we expect most will achieve a fast finish time for their chosen distance. For photos from events from this beautiful park, see our photos page. Our most recent trip to Soaring Eagle was in May of this year and you can see the pictures of the trails here
As a fun thing, we'll be hosting a "Hold Your Plank" contest at 6pm, right before the pre-race briefing. Any racer interested can participate; the person that can hold a correct flat back plank the longest wins a pair of trail running shoes!
Tutta Bella Neopolitan Pizzeria on 715 NW Gilman Blvd in Issaquah is sponsoring this run so run hard and come to the finish line hungry! Tutta Bella's mission is to nourish lives with healthy authentic food. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 11am to 10 pm and Friday, Saturday from 11am to 11pm. Don't forget to check out their Issaquah store next time you're training at this park!
July 7th Lord Hill Trail Run

Online registration for tomorrow's Lord Hill Trail Run on July 7th has closed but day of registration is available. If you would like to sign up day of, please arrive at least 30 min prior to start so we can manually add you to the start list.
Kudos to everyone that ran at Taylor today. You took the mud, rain, and famous river crossing in stride and looked awesome to boot!
The preliminary results are here and scenes from the river are here. For breathtaking pictures of runners going across the ridge, check out album by action photographer Steve Sanders.
The next run up is the July 7th Lord Hill Run in Snohomish. There will be a BBQ post race and BB Ranch on Pike Place Market will be bringing their famous cheddar dogs to the grill. The start/finish area is right by beautiful Snohomish River (pictured above), so bring your swimsuits if you'd like to go for a dip right after!
