We will, as always, provide a well marked courses, fully stocked aid stations with a variety of Clif products, fruit, cookies, sandwiches, etc, and a relaxed post race atmosphere with lots of food including soups and other delicious treats! Thank you everyone that came to the November 17 Grand Ridge Run, what an awesome day! The weather stayed dry and warm for a long time, which was totally unexpected at this time of the year. It did get cold towards the end and very rainy too, so kudos to all long distance racers for toughing it through. A special thank you goes to all the volunteers for braving the weather to ensure everyone had a safe and fun time.
Thank you Flying Pie Pizzeria on 30 Front St. S in Issaquah who sponsored this event with gourmet fresh-from-the-over pizzas, and Zico, Mamma Chia, Fuse and Muscle Milk for providing delicious drinks.
We also want to say a huge THANK YOU to all runners/walkers that participated in 2012 events. Putting on events is a lot of work but it is also very rewarding. We love seeing your happy faces, knowing that our events made a positive impact in your lives. Thank you for all the feedback and encouragements you've given us through the years. Together you have a created a very warm and supportive community for all trail enthusiast and a welcoming home for newbies to the sport. Your generous volunteering spirit and willingness to lend a fellow runner a helping hand is what makes these events possible. And last but not least, thank you for being such great stewards of this beautiful place we run in. Even in the heat of a competition you always take care to carefully sort trash into recycle and compost, and because of your diligence we are able to reach zero waste at all events. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Happy holidays everyone and we look forward to seeing you all in 2013!
